Task, second year

This task was for a Danish customer who wanted to establish a new café in Hamar, Norway. We were going to develop and implement a café with function and modern Danish design in focus. The customer wanted to give a café experience with Danish cuisine and design in perfect harmony. The café would serve Danish pastry and sandwiches, and coffee in different varieties.
The café was for people between 25 and 40 years old, and should accommodate 50 people.

My concept was Construction.
Construction is the way and the technique that is used to build something up, and there are many types of construction and much range of materials and structures. Structure is a concept on how organisms, objects and actions are built up or composed. It is used in many ways, including the surface structure of a substance/furniture and the structure of timber. There is a connection between the individual parts of a whole. This is similar to Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Hans J. Wegner who worked with building up Danish design as a brand and to be recognized worldwide for quality design. Danish as a designer brand was not made because of one designer or architect, but the relationship between these, they built something similar as a construction.
